Q: What is a montage?
A: A montage video edited together in a fun and entertaining style, using still pictures,
video and music. Montage videos are not only for weddings, but also for any type of event such
as birthdays, retirement parties, 25th, 50th, or any anniversary. A montage can document the
wedding couple as they have grown up and met, or be used to highlight your kids growing up.
Q: How much does it cost for additional time?
A: For one videographer, it costs $50.00 per extra hour or portion of an extra hour and $80/hour
for 2 videographers.
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: We use a 3-chip, broadcast-quality digital camera, wireless microphones, and a state-of-the-art
, nonlinear Adobe Premiere editing suite for all of our productions.
Q: Where do you stand during the ceremony?
A: We try to be very discrete when shooting weddings. Often we have 1 camera on the altar and
another in the back of the church (on the balcony if possible). In the event that the church
doesn’t allow cameras on the altar, with permission, we position someone to get prime shots of
the bridal party walking down the aisle and then the videographer will move off to the side for
the rest of the ceremony. We do our best not to move around much during the ceremony.

Q: How much do you charge for editing?
A: Our standard rate for post-production editing is $20 per hour.
Q: When do I get my completed DVD?
A: Anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months is required to produce your finished wedding DVD, depending
on the season.
Q: How much do extra DVD cost?
A: Additional wedding DVDs at the time of ordering are $50. Additional DVDs for all other
services are $25.
Q: Do I get the raw footage?
A: While many wedding videographers do provide the raw video, we do not. When we put together
your wedding tape, we include every useable shot that we take and we only remove the shots that
are shaky or out of focus. The final product includes 80% of video we've shot and it's presented
in a polished, easy to follow wedding DVD.
Q: How do I book you?
A: We will send you a contract for your wedding/event date. Return the signed contract along with
the $100 non-refundable deposit and we will reserve the date for you. Your date is not booked
until we have your deposit.
Q: When do I pay?
A: We require a non-refundable deposit to reserve the date for you. Your date is not booked until
we have received your deposit. Half the balance is due 2 weeks before your wedding/event and the
other half is due upon delivery of the DVD(s).
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: We do not at the present time. We accept personal check, money order, or cash.
Q: What is all this talk about DVD compatibility?
A: Hollywood uses a glass master to press their DVDs like records used to be duplicated. They
are produced using very expensive machinery. They do not burn their DVDs like the rest of the
video industry. That is why all of the DVDs you rent or buy from a store play on almost all
players. There is still a lot of debate over the different ways a DVD can be burned but the
DVD-R format is looking to be the standard and is presently the most compatible on newer DVD
players. We offer both DVD-R & DVD+R formats so we are able to offer better compatibility for
our DVDs. We also test our DVDs before delivery. Before ordering a DVD, it is best to check your
DVD player manual to be sure your player is DVD-R or DVD+R compatible, you may also want to check
here with your make and model to see if these DVD
discs are compatible with your DVD player
Q: Do you use lights?
A: Never during the ceremony. The only time we may need to use a light – a small light that
attaches to the top of the camera – is when the reception is held in an especially dark place.
Otherwise, the cameras we use have extraordinary low-light capabilities, allowing us to generally
forgo lights. The result: a more natural shot that doesn’t blind the subject.
Q: How long will my wedding DVD be?
A: Your edited DVD will probably run between 60-120 minutes depending on the events to be covered.
Q: How many hours does it take to edit the video?
A: For every hour of footage there is 3 to 5 times the amount of editing. So if we shoot a
wedding with 2 cameras for 8 hours, it will take between 48 hours and 80 hours to edit.
Q: Is Tax included?
A: No, there is an additional 8.25% tax you will need to add to the total.
Q: Why do I need a videographer when I already have a photographer?
A: How important is it to remember your wedding day? What would it be like to view videotape of
your parent's or even your grandparent's wedding? One of the biggest regrets couples have after
their wedding day is over is the decision not to have a professionally produced video made. When
the day is done and the cake has been eaten and the music has faded & the only thing that will
remain of your wondrous occasion is your wedding video. Photographs are essential and do have a
place in your wedding plans, but they are one-dimensional. You can't hear your vows or see the
tears flowing or feel the emotions of the day. No other medium preserves the moment like video.
Memories fade with time, but the video will last a lifetime.
